the upper edge of the frame. A new panel can be
inserted more easily into the upper edge of the
frame when the two corners are cut off by
approx. 5 x 5mm (8). Put the frame edge (5)
back in place and secure with screws.
Place the door on the lower hinge (9), slot the
upper hinge into the opening, press together
with the door against the housing and secure
with the two screws (11).
TROUBLE-SHOOTING
Before you call a service engineer, carry out the
following simple tests:
Is there a power failure? Check the fuses.
Is the plug firmly connected to the socket and is
the socket switched on? Check the socket by
plugging in another appliance, e.g. a table lamp.
Is the thermostat at the correct setting? (normally
3 or 4).
Has the defrosting button been inadvertently
pushed in? If so, turn the thermostat dial to "0"
and the defrosting button will be released. Reset
the dial to its usual position and the refrigerator
should start cooling again.
Has the door not been closed properly causing
the inside temperature to rise too quickly?
Is the refrigerator level?
Has the ventilation become obstructed?
If after checking all the above points, the
refrigerator is still not working satisfactorily,
contact your nearest service engineer. A list of
service engineers is supplied with every
appliance. State the problem, model and
product number. (Details of the model and
product number are to be found on the data label
in the top left of the inside compartment.)
This refrigerator is equipped with overheating
protection. An authorised service technician can
check whether this has been triggered or not.
IMPORTANT ADVICE
Do
- make sure that drinks and food, particularly
those with a strong smell, are closed tightly
or well packed
- close the door properly after use. The door
should only be left open a little when the
refrigerator is switched off;
- defrost the refrigerator regularly
Do not
- use sharp objects to remove the frost layer or
free the ice tray;
- obstruct the airflow on or above the cooling
unit;
- put any hot or warm food/drinks into the
refrigerator - allow them to cool down first.
The appliance does not contain any
CFCs/HCFCs.
Sodium chromate is used for corrosion
protection (less than 2 weight % of the coolant).
RECYCLING
After unpacking the appliance, the packing
materials should be delivered to a local
collection site. At the end of its useful lifetime,
the appliance should be delivered to a
specialized collection and reprocessing firm,
which reclaims the usable materials. The rest is
properly destroyed.
